What is academic integrity?


Academic integrity is the commitment to stay honest and having good moral values in an academic or also doing something so that you can maintain the integrity in yourself.





What is plagiarism?

 - Plagiarism is the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off an one's own.
 - According University of Oxford, plagiarism is presenting someone else's work or ideas as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement. All published and unpublished material, whether in manuscript, printer or electronic form, is covered under this definition.

Preventing Plagiarism

  a. Planing your paper
      - consult with tour instructor/lecture
      - plan your paper
      - take effective notes

   b. Writting your paper
      - when in doubt, cite sources
      - make it clear who said what
      - know how to paraphrase
      - analyze and evaluate sources

GPA & CGPA

CGPA stand for Cumulative Grade Point Average. GPA is calculated for a single term of a year, whereas CGPA is calculated for the entire duration of a course. Many colleges have acut off CGPA for admission into different courses. This mean that a student must consistently obtain high GPA.

 b. make sure all the study equipment is ready
 c. write date and time in your notes
 d. make sure your mental and physical at your best



During class, we need to:

 a. make sure you sit at the front and center seat (better vision in class)
 b. avoid distraction like window glares or doorways
 c. don't make any useless talk in class
 d. focus and don't sleep in class

Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM [5]) is a public university in Malaysia, based primarily in Shah AlamMalaysia. Established in 1956 as the RIDA (Rural & Industrial Development Authority) Training Centre (MalayDewan Latihan RIDA), it opened to some 50 students with a focus to help the rural Malays.[6] Since that time it has grown into the largest higher education institution in Malaysia by physical infrastructure, staff organization (academic and non-academic), and student enrollment.
The university comprises one main campus and 34 state campuses. With 17,488 academic and non-academic staff, UiTM offers some 515 programmes ranging from foundation to postgraduate level. What is time?

Time is the indefinite continued progress of existence and events that occur in an apparently irreversible succession from the past, through the present, to the future. Time is a component quantity of various measurements used to sequence events to compare the duration of events or the intervals between them, and to quantity rates of change of quantities in material reality or in the conscious experience. Time is often referred to as fourth dimension, along with three spatial dimensions.

PROCRASTINATION




What is procrastination? Procrastination is the action of delaying or postponing something. Your first tip to success in life is to avoid procrastination. Why we need to avoid this? This is a negative thinking. This make you lazy, you think that you can settle down your work at last minute. Sometimes your work not good enough because you're in rush or cannot make it done at time and make excuse. This is not a good attitude for students or anybody. Cause of that, you will stress or depression. It's not good. In group presentation in example, you will bring that group down cause of yourself has this attitude.



ADVANTAGES OF BEING ORGANISED

  c. reduce stress
  d. make us happy

TOPIC 2: GOAL SETTINGS



Everyone has their own goals no matter how big or small their goals. What is goal?
Goal is a object of a person's ambition or effort, an aim or desired result. A goal can give a person something positive like motivated and dont give up to get what they want.

What is SMART GOAL?

SMART goal is used to help guide goal setting.




a) Specific
   - well defined, clear and unambiguous

b) Measurable
   - with specific criteria that measure your progress towards the accomplishment of the goal

c) Achievable
   - not possible to get

d) Realistic
   - relevant to your life purpose

d) Timely
   - with a clearly defined timeline including a starting date and a target date you archive your goal.


A goal should be:
  - your own goal make by yourself not others (chosen yourself)
  - you can archive it
  - positive goal
  - finite
  - don't ever give up till you achieve your goal

ACTIVITY 2

Writting Effective Goal Statement - The 5 Steps Approach

1) Write down what you want to accomplish.

2) Write down any obstacle.

3) Write down resources available for you.

4) Renew and revise your tentative goal statement.

5) Polish your goal statement.

Everyone have their own learning style. Not everyone same. We all difference student. Some students really fast in learning and some student slow in learning and difference style in learning. What is mingle game?

Mingle is an interactive icebreaker that helps people recognize common and unique interests and preferences. The speaker calls out various categories and everyone moves toward various parts of the room, finding people with similar tastes as them.

This game is classified as a get-to-know icebreaker with a little bit of active movement (walking around the room, meeting and talking to others).

ACTIVITY TIME

Okay, in UED102 class our lecturer had asked us to get into random stranges who is same course or course mate. What benefit from this game? At the end of the game, we get to know our course mate or we can get to add our contact friends.
